Natalie Avery

Natalie brings over 10 years of experience in the place management field having led the MidCity Business Association and run the DC BID Council for seven years. Since 2021, she helped lead the consultant team focusing on community engagement and strategic planning efforts for BIDs in formation or transition. A lifelong DC resident, Natalie grew up and still has family in Friendship Heights, bringing a deep understanding of its history, needs, and potential. Natalie brings special expertise and focuses on inclusive placemaking, having co-authored a national report on creating more inclusive and equitable cities in the Place Management industry.

For the past two years, she led stakeholder engagement and education programs, and created the groundwork for sustainable long-term funding for the organization.
