Getting Around
Everything you need is within walking distance in Friendship Heights, but the options for getting around are plentiful. The Red Line Metrorail stop at Friendship Heights is the only station in the system with five entrances, on all sides of Western and Wisconsin Avenues. Vehicular access from DC to Bethesda and the rest of Montgomery County is easy on Wisconsin and Western Avenues; or, head eastward into the city on Military Road.
Friendship Heights offers a walkable, urban experience in a transit-rich environment. The neighborhood is home to three Capital Bikeshare stations. New planned bike lanes along Jenifer Street are in the works.
The bus transfer facility at Western and Wisconsin also offers a convergence of bus lines.
