Rachel L. Davis

Director of Marketing & Placemaking

Rachel L. Davis is a community builder who has spent her 18-year career focused on the activation and branding of welcoming, enjoyable places. She began as a journalist covering growth and development in the South, kicking off a career at the intersection of place and storytelling. She has managed and launched the brand identities for eight organizations, including NoMa BID, Dupont Circle BID, the International Downtown Association, and the National Landing BID. She has created hundreds of events, pop-ups, and creative campaigns. Her project management-based experience includes strategic marketing, brand management, public relations, communications and writing, photography and community outreach. For the Alliance, Rachel handles the marketing campaigns, brand management, event strategy, and placemaking operations; and partners with Natalie on community engagement.
