The music, fun, and hanging out starts at 6 pm. Come for popcorn and the fun events mentioned below, and bring a chair or blanket – the surface is asphalt.

The Film Lineup:

Sept. 21: Back To The Future (1985)  RSVP

Come out for an ice cream social with all your friends, followed by the movie at 7:30 pm. Come early for a brief meditation in partnership with the World Culture Festival.

About the film: Marty McFly, a 17-year-old high school student, is accidentally sent 30 years into the past in a time-traveling DeLorean invented by his close friend, the maverick scientist Doc Brown.

Oct. 12: Casablanca (1942) RSVP
Calling all those adults in the neighborhood who love a classic film. Bring a friend or partner and come for an adult beverage at the mixer, followed by a toast to the movie at 7 pm.

About the film: A cynical expatriate American cafe owner struggles to decide whether or not to help his former lover and her fugitive husband escape the Nazis in French Morocco.

Nov. 16: Wall-E (2008) RSVP
It gets darker earlier in November, so it's the perfect time to bring out the kids for s'mores and an early film on a Thursday night, especially when our favorite robot reminds us to take good care of the planet. We'll provide the marshmallows and napkins. Movie starts at 6:30 pm.

About the film: In the distant future, a small waste-collecting robot inadvertently embarks on a space journey that will ultimately decide the fate of mankind.

Location: Parking lot behind 5151 Wisconsin Avenue NW (the former Fox 5 building). Pedestrians or cyclists may enter at the gates on Garrison and Harrison Streets NW; no vehicles will be allowed on the site.
