The first of two kickoff events for the Friendship Heights Sector Plan is next week! Join neighbors on Wednesday, November 20 for an in-person community meeting to hear about the work Montgomery County Planning will be doing and participate in an engagement activity about the future of Friendship Heights. If you are unable to join us in-person, check out the details below for a virtual event on December 3. The events will cover the same content, so pick the one that works best for you.

This project is an update to the 1998 Friendship Heights Sector Plan and builds upon the recently completed Friendship Heights Urban Design Study. The sector plan update will make recommendations on zoning, land use, housing, transportation, parks and open space, the environment, schools, economic development, and more.

Visit the plan website for more information and frequently asked questions. You can also check out this overview of the master planning process.
