Park(ing) Day: Reimagine Public Spaces

The Friendship Heights Alliance is thrilled to create a new pop-up park for Park(ing) Day, an international movement to make streets for people. On September 20, we will be activating a one-day Workers’ Wellness parklet on Jenifer Street, dedicated to serving the employees who work in the Friendship Heights neighborhood. We’re proud to partner with Crunch Fitness, who will be offering pop-up strength and stretch classes (that you can do on your lunch break); free coffeefree 10-minute chair massages by Zen Acupressuremusic, and more freebies from other local wellness businesses!

Our goal is to create a public space that promotes health and wellness and expresses gratitude for the many individuals who contribute to the vitality of Friendship Heights, serving both DC and Maryland.

Mark your calendar for Friday, September 20, 2024, and stop by between 11 am and 2 pm to join in on the Park(ing) Day fun!  RSVP here

When:  Friday, September 20, 2024, 11 am – 2 pm
Where: 4343 Jenifer St NW (adjacent to Roche Bobois)

About the Event:

Park(ing) Day is a global, public, participatory project where people across the world temporarily repurpose curbside parking spaces and convert them into public parks and social spaces to advocate for safer, greener, and more equitable streets for people. Learn more here
