Details
Celebrate the summer solstice by helping cultivate ecology and community in Friendship Heights!
Join us on Saturday, June 21, 10:00 AM - noon as we continue to care for our pollinator gardens. We’ll be meeting at the site of our first DC pollinator garden (west side of Wisconsin Avenue, between Jenifer and Ingomar). First, we’ll learn best practices for weeding our gardens. Then, we’ll split up to work in groups on weeding our DC and MD gardens — and we’ll also plant some additional native plants to help fill out the gardens for the summer. This workshop will be especially helpful for folks who have wanted to help weed our gardens, but are afraid they’ll pull the wrong things. Please join us if you can, and spread the word to any interested neighbors. All ages very welcome! Questions? Contact Amanda Huron, at amanda.huron@gmail.com.
When: Saturday, June 21, 2025 10 am - 12 pm
Location: The Pollinator Garden on the 5200 Block of Wisconsin Ave.
