Calling all garden volunteers! Save the date for Saturday, Nov. 23, for "Weeding and Reading," a garden maintenance day where we also fellowship over literature. 

From 9:30-10:30 AM, we'll be "putting the gardens to bed" for the winter -- meaning, we'll do some final weeding, and add another layer of mulch to both garden beds. Then from 11:00-12:00, we'll gather at Booeymonger for the first meeting of our garden reading group! The reading we'll be discussing is Robin Wall Kimmerer's chapter "Asters and Goldenrod," from her book Braiding Sweetgrass. Choose Your Garden:

• Maryland Garden: Located at 5496 Friendship Boulevard
• DC Garden: Located on the 5200 Block of Wisconsin Ave. NW, to the right of the bike racks

A garden lead will be present at each site to welcome you and guide the activities. Please bring your own gardening gloves. Light bites and coffee will be provided at Booeymonger.
