Experience the heart of Friendship Heights! The Sunday Commons Market is a weekly gathering where neighbors can come together over delicious food, engaging activities, and live performances. 

Start your Sunday morning with freshly prepared foods, artisanal baked goods, farm-fresh produce, and beautiful flowers from local vendors while enjoying live performances from talented musicians and artists. Join us for Sunday Commons every Sunday from August 30 - November 22, at the 5200 block of Wisconsin Ave NW for a day of community, flavor, and fun.

Sunday Commons + Keychain Workshop: Sunday, August 30 at 10am - 2pm

Live performance by Sadia from 10am-12:30pm plus a Keychain making workshop by Baer Stitches. All supplies will be provided for participants. RSVP required for the keychain making workshop.

Keychain Workshop: Looking for a fun, hands on way to decorate your bags and backpacks? Join us for the keychain workshop, where you will create a custom keychain charm design using market finds and materials we provide. Instructor: Trisha Shrivastava is a multidisciplinary artist based in Washington, DC. Her work spans graphic design, jewelry making, embroidery and crochet.

Photography workshop with Pat Graham: “How We Photograph a Place.” Visitors will choose a simple challenge: Person, Detail or Moment, make a photograph on their phone while at the market, and report back to the group. In the meantime, photographer Diane Krauthamer will document the workshops, people and activity across Sunday Commons. The works will be compiled and curated by Pat Graham, and result in a final 10–15 image mini-exhibition within the gallery show Present Imperfection, including a few participant photographs.

2. There will be a Yelp DC Coozies giveaway for first 30 customers who purchase from the vendors. Proof of purchase will be required and offer until supplies last.
