Step into the past and the future with Teen Time Machine, a high-energy outdoor concert spotlighting local teen bands as they celebrate iconic “third places” of the past. Third places—like diners, parks, and music venues—are social spaces beyond home and work that bring people together. The Youth Advisory Council is reimagining underused public areas in Friendship Heights as welcoming third places for teens and the broader community.

Join us as we transform the mural space near the old Lord & Taylor building into a vibrant hangout with live music, a thrift shop pop-up, and a zine table. Enjoy original music from teen bands The Frizz, Silas Frickert Jazz Ensemble and Hi Def, along with nostalgic hits from the '70s, '90s, and early 2000s—soundtracking a journey through time and shared spaces.

✨ All ages welcome.

Teen Time Machine is organized by the Friendship Heights Youth Advisory Council, co-produced by Pipkin Creative, and music curated by Breakfast All Day Records.
