When Dr. Natalie Grigorian opened Aetherium Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine in Friendship Heights in 2022, she wasn't just opening a medical practice. She was creating the kind of space she felt was missing in healthcare—a place where patients feel heard, supported, and truly cared for.

Dr. Grigorian's specialty, however, is women's health and fertility, an area she's passionate about after seeing firsthand how often women feel their symptoms are overlooked or minimized.
"I wanted to create a sanctuary where patients could heal," she says. "Many of our patients tell us they feel hopeful for the first time, and that's what keeps me going."
Dr. Grigorian has been practicing Chinese medicine for nearly a decade. Before opening Aetherium, she completed doctoral rotations at The Kaufman Cancer Center in Maryland, studied at Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China, and served on the faculty at Maryland University of Integrative Health. Today, she works collaboratively with reproductive endocrinologists, OB/GYNs, neurologists, and other healthcare providers, helping patients integrate acupuncture and herbal medicine into their overall care.
Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, Chinese medicine looks at the whole person. Acupuncture uses fine, sterile needles to support the body's natural healing processes and may help with everything from pain management and stress reduction to hormone balance and overall wellness.
