TRACE Art Show

The Friendship Heights Alliance presented TRACE, its third gallery pop-up in partnership with Chevy Chase Pavilion, from October 2025 to January 2026 at the newly opened Pavilion Pop-up space at 5335 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC.

TRACE was an exhibition about fleeting moments and the subtle marks we leave behind. It explores human presence and our relationship to place—how we exist in spaces, how we leave remnants, and how our environments hold the imprint of our passage. Through portraiture, landscapes, and mixed media, the works create a dialogue between people and the places they inhabit, or sometimes escape. In the charged climate of Washington, DC’s underground art scene, the artists approach themes of memory, presence, and the traces left behind from distinctly different perspectives. Some works are raw and direct; others are layered, abstracted, or subdued, contradictions that mirror how memory and meaning shift with time.

Featuring local DC artists Lely ConstantinopleMartina FornaceClaire Packer, and Antonia Tricarico, the exhibition explores human presence, memory, and the traces we leave behind through portraiture, landscapes, and mixed media. Together, the works invite viewers to slow down and consider the emotional textures of everyday life and the often-unseen stories embedded in people and places.
